40th ANNIVERSARY FOR THE CLASS OF 1968

The Class of 1968 is celebrating its 40th anniversary at this year's CCS Reunion Weekend July 18-20.

Once again the fearless foursome of class of 68'ers Ken Gottry, Terry Granger, Jim Austin, and Bob Woodward will participate in the Alumni Golf Tourney on Friday July 18th. They hope that the change of venue to the Hoosick Falls Country Club will help improve their performances over the past few years. Other class members are encouraged to play. Maybe if we outnumber the other classes they'll be intimidated and give us a prize.

Looking back through the yearbook I found a photo of the first boy's soccer team at CCS. We didn't win many matches, we didn't have any fancy uniforms, but with Bob Cheney as our coach you can be sure we ran and ran and then ran some more. The four seniors on that team, Ken Gottry, Terry Granger, George Virtue, and Laverne Perry, might even make a comeback since there's talk of starting an Alumni Soccer Tournament on reunion weekend.

I also found this photo of the class officers. I wonder why we needed five class advisers. Perhaps we weren't as well behaved as I'd like to remember.
